The TeleGuidance team at Zoox enables our autonomous vehicles to incorporate human contextual guidance into the planning algorithms allowing our vehicles to successfully reason about and navigate complex scenarios by leveraging real time remote human guidance. TeleGuidance is an integral part of the self driving stack, dealing with some of the most challenging scenarios by fusing the “human sensor” data in real time to plan a solution to complete the mission.

There are three major domains within the team to allow this: starting with the on vehicle planning algorithms that incorporate the human guidance, to the complex adapting network infrastructure and finally the 3D interface which the remote operators use to gain situational awareness and send guidance to the autonomous fleet.
In this role you will contribute to building the essential user interface which the remote operators use to provide guidance to the autonomous fleet. This mission critical interface is the primary means of enabling the human-machine collaboration by providing a real time 3D view of the environment and live video feeds allowing the operators to gain situational awareness, and provide guidance. You will have an impact on the interface for new guidance features and tackle the challenges of virtually enabling an operator to comprehend the complex driving scene.
