We are looking for engineers who are passionate about managing data at scale. As a Senior Software Core Data engineer, you will work across the entire data generation stack, from optimizing multi-threaded, on-vehicle C++ code that handles millions of messages each minute to analyzing data at a petabyte scale.
You will help implement new software frameworks for efficiently identifying critical data in real time and use this framework to efficiently offload the most critical data from our growing fleet of vehicles each day. You will interface with other on-vehicle software teams to promote the adoption of these new data frameworks. You will also work with experts in hardware, homologation, and legal to ensure our systems are dependable and compliant at all levels of the data stack.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of industry experience working on large code bases
Strong proficiency in C++
Experience with data pipelines
Experience leading technical projects
Experience with Linux and systems programming
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, mathematics, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
AWS S3(intelligent tiering, Glacier)
Petabyte-level data management

Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $185,000 to $265,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate’s relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.

Vaccine Mandate
