About the Woven City Experience Team
Our mission is to design a city that enables technology to unlock human potential to thrive. We take this mission seriously and we take our team dynamics equally seriously. The Woven City Experience team is part of the User Experience organization at Woven Planet and currently consists of three UX disciplines: Design, UX research, and Simulation. We use cutting-edge technologies like DigitalTwin to turn ideas into reality and uncover meaningful and unexpected connections between people, technology, and the environment. The team will continue to increase its team’s capabilities and add new functions such as content strategy and UX program management.

The work we do here is unlike any other. Our initiatives are complex and we regularly work with unknowns. Role & Responsibilities –

You are:
・responsible for UX Research operations (ResOps) to support UX researchers in planning, conducting, and applying quality user research.
・a true UX professional, with knowledge and expertise and deep familiarity in all factors that are necessary for conducting research at all phases of the design process. You know the importance of balancing  cost, time, and quality effectively and simultaneously  UX research team to figure out the right strategy and solutions.
・a team player, who can constantly communicate with researchers about the methods of data-driven decision making, and can create standards that promote efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Above all, someone who has a passion for people, technology, and research as well as an interest in helping us create a city as a test course for mobility.

・Standardizing research methods and supporting documentation (e.g., scripts, templates, and consent forms) to save time and enable consistent application across teams
・Recruiting and managing research participants and set-ups across studies
・Supporting management of user-research insights by adding toUX Research Repository and allowing data to be accessible throughout the team and the organization
・Socializing success stories and ensuring that the overall impact of user research is known through UX Newsletter 
・Managing contracts with the vendors in communicating and engaging with stakeholders and act as a point of communication
・Manage Research Ethics applications and approvals for all Woven City UX research
・Partner with colleagues around the globe to ensure we are meeting the varied and specific needs of UX Infrastructure and the UX Research community in Woven Planet
・Support UX researchers to conduct on-site qualitative and quantitative user research studies using the UX simulation as a data collection tool.
・Evangelize user research and efficiently communicate with others of its value in a burgeoning user-centered design culture.

We’re excited about you because…

・1+ years of experience working as DesignOps, ResearchOps, or Research Assistant
・1+ years experience working in a UX research/operations team, UXproject management, or equivalent role.
・Comfortable working in a flexible working environment akin to a startup.
・Our team is international and business is conducted in English and partially in Japanese. 
   ・English: Native or Business Level
   ・Japanese: Native or Business Level (JLPT 1 or equivalent level)




  • Bachelor degree in Psychology, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field or have the equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working with and managing UX research / Marketing Research vendors.
  • Experience working with immersive/spatial computing platforms (e.g. VR/AR)
  • Experience working with startups from early phases to build the product and service.
