The mission of the Woven IT Product Management team is to increase productivity and accelerate delivery of software and services for both Woven Planet and the larger Toyota organization as a whole. We do this by building and integrating best of breed cutting-edge technologies to help engineering teams go faster, safer. By providing modern, agile and transparent services to our customers, we aim to realize Woven Planet’s vision of ”Mobility to Love, Safety to Live”.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a Technical Writer Intern to work with our IT Product Management team to help write easy to understand and enjoyable to read documentation to help Toyota employees and partners around the world understand how to use Woven Planet’s IT tools effectively.
Writing user guides and manuals to help users understand when and how to use tools effectively
Working directly with subject matter experts to gather information, create content, and obtain approvals using strong interpersonal skills and customer-service skills
Monitoring user feedback (e.g. incoming IT helpdesk tickets) to identify gaps in our documentation and taking the initiative to fill them
Contributing to a documentation style guide and implementing its guidance to raise the quality of all our documentation to a consistently high level
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar major with an expected graduation date March 2023 – March 2024
Must be available for a 3-month on-site internship in the summer of 2022
Must be able to write very high quality natural, idiomatic English independently
Strong interest in IT systems, especially software development tools, such as GitHub, Jira, etc.
Experience with, or understanding of, content management
Customer centricity and a passion for crafting great user experiences
Team-player with excellent communication skills
Well organized and detailed-oriented
NOTE: This internship program is intended only for those who are located in Japan with valid working visas since the program is expected to be onsite.
Start Date: You can choose to start from several start dates, July 15, August 1, August 22, or September 1, 2022
Internship Duration: 3 months
Timing: 3-5 days on weekdays
Salary: Hourly wage
*The salary will be varied depending on individual experience and skills.
Work Location: Nihonbashi (Head office)
*Travel/Accommodation support will be provided for those students who are outside of the Tokyo region.
