Summary of the role:

Volvo Cars is in the process of developing and industrializing the future propulsion systems based on HV battery and Electric Drive Axels.

ME Propulsion Components, is a section within Manufacturing Engineering. We develop and implement quality assured, flexible and effective production systems in our plants worldwide.

The section is working cross functionally and project oriented, supporting all Volvo Car Corporation´s production plants and car programs locally and globally. Within the Local Industrialization VCDQ Team, we are now looking for a new member working as a Process & Product Resident Engineer.

 

What you will do?

  • Be product and process responsible from manufacturing point of view and take full responsibility and ownership within my area.
  • Develop, drive and verify lean, robust and ergonomic product and process solutions and I am accountable for the result.
  • Drive product and process feedback to Product Creation and within Manufacturing to fulfil the manufacturing requirements.
  • Perform and verify FMEA for process.
  • Release and quality assure necessary steering documents.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other stakeholders globally to align, learn and improve production solutions.
  • Work with continuous improvement in all aspects of my role.
  • Plan and prioritize my task according to delivery and verification need and contribute to balance work within our team.
  • Communicate with transparency, escalate and handshake deviations in time.
  • Deliver lessons learned within my area.
  • Drive and contribute to risk assessment activities.

  • New model program experience.
  • Fluent English both in verbal and written.
  • AutoCAD & Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skill is required.
  • CATIA V5 skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision-making and communication skills.
  • Good experience in process design.
  • Cross-department cooperation.
  • Working experience with foreign staff in joint venture preferred.
  • High analytical and problem-solving skills.
