What you’ll do

 

At Plant Supplier Performance Management (SPM) we are responsible for Volvo Cars suppliers base and supplier performance management. We ensure that suppliers deliver parts in the required quality and quantity and, on time. We are involved from pre-series to the end of production.

 

The Supplier Performance Management Engineer is responsible for solving all deviations from suppliers through the 8D process, both technical and logistical. During the running phase, we are involved in Quality deviations and are working closely with Plant Quality, Plant SCC, and site SPM. The Plant SPM team is playing an important role to secure Volvo's quality and actions together with the supplier.

 

What you’ll bring

 

In the role as a Plant Supplier Performance Management Engineer, you will get to be involved in all phases of the Volvo Cars supplier business, from project phases all the way to running production and aftermarket!

Your main responsibility will be to make secure supplier performance in running operations to continuously improve their Quality & Delivery running production, you will be an important contributor to their performance and development. This will be done in close collaboration together with our colleagues within the Global Category. You will also take lead for activities connected to escalated Quality and Delivery incidents.

 

To work in this role, you have a Technical University degree (or equivalent). To be effective in this role we believe that you have extensive experience in Quality or Engineering work. You have experience in Supplier Quality performance assurance or experience working with supplier quality assurance tools and processes (VSIM, PPAP, FMEA, 8D etc.). You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
