The Role

Tesla
has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Standards and BIM Manager to
join our Sales, Service, and Delivery Infrastructure Design team. This person
will be directly responsible for Building Information Model (BIM) prototype
management, prototype concept development and maintenance, as well as
supporting the development of tools to for greater design efficiency. The ideal
candidate will have experience transitioning an organization from AutoCAD to
Revit and has experience working with fast, complex, scaled roll outs. The
candidate will be able to multi-task and collaborate with cross functional
infrastructure teams. 

Responsibilities

·       
Introduce, support and oversee the implementation of industry
leading BIM technology. 

·       
Lead the transition from AutoCAD to Revit, develop the roadmap for
training and rollout, and will create and maintain BIM standards for NA and APAC.

·       
Develop and maintain Technology Standards & Processes –
particularly as they relate to CAD tools, Drawing & Document management
protocols. Investigate new software and technology to improve design
deliverables, reduce cost and drive efficiency

·       
Maintain prototype concept updates and effectively communicate and
distribute changes to the Design team and relevant business partners.

Research and qualify alternate specifications for performance,
quality, cost, and availability.

Requirements

·       
3-5
years of experience using Revit in Retail or Commercial BIM modeling and
drawing production

·       
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent experience.

·       
Architectural,
structural, MEP knowledge and construction detailing experience.

·       
High proficiency with next-generation CAD tools (REVIT, BIM 360)

·       
Proficiency with other relevant computer design applications (Enscape,
Sketchup, AutoCAD, 3D Modeling/Rendering, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

·       
Experience managing drawing/content management protocols
(templates and prototypes, archiving), for roll out design programs

·       
Experience interfacing with construction and cost control on
quantity takeoffs and alignment between Work Breakdown Structure based cost
tracking and BIM parameters

·       
Proven analytical skills in relation to programming, space
allocation, planning and design

·       
Self-motivated
with a high level of accountability to coordinate multiple programs, develop
and adhere to schedules, prioritize workload, work in a fast paced, challenging
and continually evolving environment
