The Sr Product Analyst will be part of the New Product Launch and Change Management team responsible for market success of Tesla’s residential energy products. This person would be work with engineering, sales, operations, service, and channel management teams to ensure we derive the maximum impact of new products.
Success in this role requires a solid technical foundation to understand the nature of deployment problems and a scrutinizing mindset to uncover their root causes from data. These problems can span from data integrity, reliability, installation difficulties, software functionality, customer experience, or others depending on the product. Tesla deploys real products in the real world where data and feedback are messy and imprecise; this person must be resourceful and relentless in finding the solution.
•Proficiency with SQL, Python, Tableau, MS Excel (Airflow a strong plus)
•Proficiency with Tableau and creating dashboards
•Exceptional analytical skills, data manipulation, and deriving insights from data
•Experience collecting and curating data from different teams and imperfect legacy databases
•Exceptional written and verbal communications skills and a team mentality
•Attention to detail and drive to identify the root problem
•Experience driving impactful business actions with insightful analysis
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline (Masters or MBA a plus)
•Familiarity with solar, energy storage, or home construction a strong plus
