Responsibilities
The Body-in-White Process Design Engineer will be responsible for sustaining and re-designing mechanical portions
of the body center. This includes re-designing mechanical aspects of fixtures
and tooling.
Hands-on Manufacturing Engineer working closely with design engineering,
quality, production, and line builders to take vehicle design changes and new
vehicle designs from initial concepts through prototype and full
production.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a high volume manufacturing environment and evidence of exceptional ability. BIW experience preferred
- Experience in Mechanical Design within a high-tech Automotive or Aerospace
industry - Must possess process engineering
skills (process development/improvement, troubleshooting, data analysis,
constraint analysis, flow optimization, etc.) - Extensive hands-on experience
modifying jigs, fixtures, and coordinating equipment installations - Good understanding of BOMs,
manufacturability, process design, process validation and reviews, assembly methods, and cost reduction methodologies - Experienced with AUTOCAD, CATIA
software or similar tools - Generate
and release detailed CAD and assembly drawings
