Quality Engineer, Power Electronics

  • The power electronics quality engineer will be responsible for ensuring the overall manufacturing quality for our most critical powertrain components. This engineer will be responsible for all aspects of incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality to ensure our powertrain can meet Tesla’s standards for safety, reliability, and manufacturability. An ideal candidate has experience in advanced power electronics manufacturing techniques and a proven track record of solving complex problems with data-driven solutions.


  • Prior experience in one or more of the following is strongly preferred: laser welding, metallic powder sintering, wave soldering, PCBA assembly, or related manufacturing processes.
  • BS degree in electrical, mechanical, or materials engineering, physics, or materials science.
  • Demonstrated success in applying advanced statistical methods to solve complex, data-intensive problems.
