Responsibilities

This position will join the Quality Engineering Team at
Gigafactory New York. The primary objective is to support the manufacturing of high-quality residential and commercial electronics, electric vehicle charging systems, and/or the remanufacturing of electric vehicle battery systems. The successful candidate for this position must be a problem-solver and demonstrated leader, have a strong quality & customer-focused mindset, and have the personal drive and stamina for relentless, continuous improvement.

Requirements

·         Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, etc) or other technical discipline OR 7+ years’ work experience in manufacturing quality

·         Experience managing a technical team, or other professional leadership experience

·         Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and implement changes

·         Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts with subordinates, peers, and superiors

·         Experience building and/or implementing quality management systems

·         Experience conducting PFMEAs for production processes

·         Experience in ISO-9001, QS-9000, ISO/TS/IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP is a plus

·         Experience in 6-Sigma is a plus

·         Specific training and demonstrated success in applying quality problem solving methods, such as fishbone diagrams and/or 8D, and implementing successful countermeasures

·         Strong quantitative and data analysis skills, including process capability analysis, hypothesis testing, DoE, SPC, and similar

·         Proficiency in SQL, R, Minitab (or similar), is a plus

·         Experience with broad variety of measurement and inspection techniques

·         Familiarity reliability test techniques (accelerated life testing) is a plus

·         High proficiency in MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) 

·         Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills.
