Powertrain (Cell Quality) Internship (m/w/d) – Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg

The internship assignment 
You’ll be part of the Quality Engineering team, which is a smart operating team at Tesla within the Powertrain environment. Working directly for the Associate Quality Manger (Drive Unit, Battery or Cell), you’ll have the unique opportunity to make changes and improvements to our processes and products. There’ll also be the possibility for you to get involved in project work. Moreover, you’ll assist Quality Engineers in all Quality Engineering related activities at Gigafactory Berlin Brandenburg. You’ll be the central point of contact when it comes to computer-aided quality tools. As such, you’ll learn to create risk within our PFMEA and Control-Plan tool and to support the team in maintaining and creating a database of quality critical parameters. 
Learning goals & Tasks
  • Improve analytical skills through analysis of yield and key performance indicators
  • Providing analysis of existing requirements and yield to ensure the highest quality level
  • Analyze historical production data for Drive units, Batteries or Cells
  • pFMEA from excel form to be implemented/move to the new pFMEA soft
  • Developing solid understanding of yield and performance drivers
  • Learn how to maintain day-to-day operational quality relationships
  • Identifying and solving quality issues within the production together with the Quality Engineers
  • Understand how an international company such as Tesla acts within quality and how we improve quality awareness
  • Creating and maintaining a database which enables the Powertrain organization to ensure all quality critical processes parameters are appropriately managed
  • Fluency in English
  • Preferably studying a relevant field like Mechanics, Electronics, Process Technology or Chemistry
  • Interested in fast paced and always changing environment
