Responsibilities
The New Product Introduction Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the development of new manufacturing processes for 4680 cell production and carrying out trials to the established product specifications. The primary responsibility will be to test and validate systems and parts involved in product and manufacturing development. Collaborating with safety, design, manufacturing, and service departments, you will identify, report, and adjust equipment or processes that require improvement. Ultimately, you will introduce major coordinated changes into our manufacturing systems and factories.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering) or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
- Experience and interest in data visualization techniques
- Ability to problem solve and adjust priorities in a fast-moving and constantly evolving high growth environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable in an environment with unstructured, incomplete, and ambiguous data
- Curious and driven to solve complex problems
- Strong engineering skills and proven track record of exceptional ability (i.e. you personally solved difficult problems that moved the needle on meaningful projects)
- Production Operations Knowledge – has a firm understanding of how complex production lines operate including key items such as industrial workings between facilities/departments, line balance, OEE, error proofing, etc.
