Role
Tesla
is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to work on one of the most progressive
vehicle distribution models in the world. Candidates for this job have a strong
eye for detail, can provide quick and strategic solutions, ability to execute
large scale plans, adapt to sudden changes, manage difficult and complex
challenges, and work collaboratively with excellent oral and written communication
skills. To be a successful candidate for this role you should be a
self-motivated, driven individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced
environment and engaging cross-functionally within Tesla and across the
extended supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Establish and
maintain a collaborative working relationship with internal and external
stakeholders to identify transport damage. - Establish a
collaborative working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
to decrease tow spend for damaged and/or in-operative vehicles. - Work closely with
corresponding Tesla Logistics Analyst – ensuring open communications and a
complete understanding of all internal processes and procedures. - Establish and
maintain a collaborative working relationship with local Tesla Service
teams by proactively communicating inbound service concerns through
internal systems. - Ensure all
Third-Party Carriers and Tesla Drivers understand and comply with all
safety, quality, driving, operations and other Railyard SOP. - Perform Yard
Inventories as needed, be able to track all vehicles in the yard. Work
with Dispatch to minimize dwelling cars. - Controls and
Audits Lane Flow – use tools given to efficiently manage or move vehicles
to and from lanes as needed. - Report any
discrepancies and help to improve processes and increase productivity.
Requirements
- High School
Diploma or experience and evidence of exceptional ability. - 2+ years in Supply
Chain, Yard Management, Logistics or related industry. - Ability to work
extended hours and weekends contingent on business needs. - Excellent written
and oral communication skills. - Proficient
computer skills, especially in Excel and other database systems. - Strong
Interpersonal skills, able to work alongside with multiple stakeholders. - Ability to sit and
or walk 8-10 hours per day. - Must be willing to
work in weather conditions.
