Responsibilities

Tesla’s energy reliability team is looking for a skilled and motivated technician to support the development of new energy and supercharging products. The primary work is located in our well-equipped lab, building, debugging and testing our various electronics, battery, and thermal systems and components. 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in product testing in laboratory and mass product development or manufacturing environments
  • Associates degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred
  • Proven ability to apply scientific problem-solving techniques and hands on debugging skills
  • Knowledge in use of standard electronics lab tools including AC/DC meters, Oscilloscopes, AC/DC power supplies
  • Experience with materials characterization and test results interpretation
  • Ability to operate and maintain a wide variety of metrology and analytical tools, hand and power tools and HV lab equipment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A demonstrated track record of building or testing complex electro-mechanical assemblies for a prior employer
  • Ability to independently work efficiently and safely
