The RoleTesla is seeking an experienced Supervisory
Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Engineer that will report directly to the Environmental
Leadership and support the Giga Berlin Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
and manufacturing operations teams by designing, developing, and continuously
improving a SCADA system used to monitor, record, visualize and process environmental
parametric data.
The SCADA Engineer, EHS will help continuously
improve compliance monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting programs within the
EHS Management System framework in partnership with the broader manufacturing
engineering and infrastructure teams. The role will help ensure Tesla maintains
compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety
regulations, and tracking, recording, and visualizing Key Performance Indicator
metrics. The target is to develop dashboards to display required EHS-KPI’s and
to be able to generate summaries as needed. We are taking SCADA engineering to
the next level, find applications for data and create Sustainable Solutions to
accelerate the worlds transition to renewable energy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree Science,
Technology, Engineering, Mathematics - Experience developing a SCADA
system for process parametric data recording and visualization for
internal customers - Track record of excellence in
current and prior roles - Able to work under pressure
while managing competing demands and tight deadlines - Advanced project management
skills - Ability to integrate and
communicate effectively across many disciplines - Previous experience working as
a controls engineer - Basic working knowledge of
environmental compliance and sustainability (air emissions, wastewater,
chemical usage). - Advanced to expert knowledge in
the following topics: Ignition (Inductive Automation) development, PLC
experience, Web / SharePoint development, Data Visualization techniques
and dashboard creation, Python, MySQL, Tableau, ETL, Distributed Computing
and Networking, Splunk, GIT-CI/CD
