Tesla is seeking an engaged Associate Manager to oversee our training content and learning programs portfolio for the EMEA Service Training team. This leader oversees a matrix team that manages the service training curriculum, creates new learning content across a variety of mediums, and manages broad learning programs that develop employee talent. Sitting within the broader EMEA Service Training team, the Associate Manager of the Development Team is responsible for the success of all EMEA-wide content creation and learning program activities for Tesla service employees. This includes exciting initiatives like our apprentice program, master technician development pathway, and our distributed coach network of field-based training ambassadors. We’re also constantly responding to the latest new products, market launches, and process updates by designing interactive and engaging learning content.

This is a people management role and so we’re seeking a leader with strong emotional intelligence, leadership experience, and delegation skills. This individual will need to inspire, support, and coach a small but high-performing team on best practices in L&D, program management, and instructional design to enable them to do their best work in a fun and safe environment. As Tesla scales and we add more products, processes, and markets to our scope, this team is expected to expand as well. By setting the development strategies and guiding the team’s overall project roadmap, this manager can ensure that all service employees have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.

This role can be based in Amsterdam or Tilburg, The Netherlands, and reports to the Sr. Manager, EMEA Service Training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Leadership, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience managing people
  • 5+ years of experience working in Learning & Development
  • Experience designing, developing, and/or managing training curricula strongly preferred
  • Automotive industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and lead at the big-picture level to make business impact
  • Demonstrated ability to overcome roadblocks and proactively problem solve with minimal oversight
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to successfully communicate with all levels in a company
