Deployment Design Engineer, North America – Supercharger

Tesla

  • Full Time

Responsibilities

The Role seeks to realize efficiencies and cost savings for all phases prior to construction of Tesla’s Supercharger projects including feasibility, layout and formal stamped design, utility design, easements, permitting, and bidding. Tesla operates a large geographically distributed team of engineers and project managers across North America. It is the job of this role to provide unified processes, standards, and guidance for all sites being designed across North America. Creating and supporting these processes and materials is the major thrust of the role. The ideal candidate has solid hands-on experience managing infrastructure projects, demonstrates clear-headed problem solving, and has the skills to work collaboratively with internal business units and externally with vendors and stakeholders. This Role is imperative in ensuring the Supercharger Deployment feedback loop is complete, such that feedback from Tesla’s Field Deployment Teams makes its way into future site and product designs. Finally, the role has a growth mindset, building process that can repeatedly double while also realizing the importance of implementing efficiencies and cost savings along the way. This includes a forward-looking approach to new technologies such as energy generation and storage products.
