Responsibilities
- Tesla’s Business Analytics team mission is to convert data into actionable reporting, insights, and automation. We are looking to hire a Sr. Data Architect dedicated to design & maintain our team’s data pipelines and manage our internal database. We are committed to hiring the world’s best and brightest people who can sit at the intersection of multiple of these disciplines and are passionate about continuing to develop their skills further. We believe that small agile teams using modern development stacks and comprised of diverse members with complementary skill sets can have an outsized impact in driving better decisions and automating core business processes.
Requirements
- Mastery of relational databases and SQL
5+ years of experience working in data architecture or a related
field
Experience building, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing master
data pipelines
Deep understanding of data architecture best practices such as
normalizing data structures, minimizing logic complexity, defining intuitive
and consistent semantic layers, and eliminating redundancy
Experience with Unix/Shell and Python or comparable programming
language
Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka,
and other data processing frameworks
Experience with orchestrating and deployment tools such as Docker, Apache Airflow and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Travis CI, Circle CI, etc
Experience with git and version control workflows
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Embrace of change and rapid pace of workPreferred Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Data Science
Experience with ETL frameworks
Experience with Hadoop ecosystem
Experience with Continuous Integration and Automated Test tools Tableau
