Responsibilities

  • The Quality Metrology Technician, will ensure that all products meet customer and company requirements by performing inspections of individual components, stampings, castings, and supplier parts. He/she will be required to learn and adhere to company policies, quality & metrology processes as well as safety requirements. An effective candidate must have the ability to meet tight deadlines, have strong interpersonal and communication skills. They need to be detail oriented and critical thinkers. He/she must establish and maintain a professional working relationship with external and internal teams at all levels across the company. Candidates will also be required to balance multiple projects, utilizing various skill sets in a highly dynamic and diverse working environment. They must be able to work independently, but also be a strong contributor in small and large groups.

Requirements

  • Inspection equipment experience: Horizontal or bridge style cmm
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of GD&T application
  • Experience in PCDMIS is a must
  • Horizontal arm cmm experience preferred
  • HP-L Scanner experience is a plus
  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, height gage, etc.
  • Experience with structured light scanning systems is a plus.
  • CAD: CATIA or 3D CAD experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
