Responsibilities
Tesla’s Cell Materials Engineering group is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Chemical Process Modeling Engineer in the development of process simulations for a novel battery materials plant near Corpus Christi, TX. You, as a Process Modeling Engineer, will be responsible for developing process models and simulations to optimize production processes and ensure the highest quality output. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering, process modeling and simulation software. Proficiency in hydrometallurgical, crystallization and solids separation processes is desired.
Requirements
- Evidence of exceptional ability, including a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and demonstrated ability to leverage this understanding to solve challenging technical problems.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in process modeling and simulation for chemical and materials production
- Ability to effectively work and communicate cross-functionally, including interfacing with production and process design teams.
- Proven ability to operate under pressure while managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, occasionally requiring extended hours.
- Aptitude to learn and incorporate new technologies.
- Ability to identify issues and develop corrective measures to resolve.
- Proven capacity to effectively work with cross-functional teams in achieving excellent results
