Tesla’s audio team develops the sound systems for our vehicles in-house. We work closely with component suppliers to ensure high quality products, and we strive for the best sound system performance of any car.

Interns within Audio Engineering will support the development, production, and testing of current and future audio system designs for our vehicles. Your scope of work will be a combination of mechanical, electrical, design, and software projects depending on team requirements, challenging you to come up with creative solutions to affect rigorous quality and cost-down targets. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional partners, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Currently working towards a degree in a relevant engineering program such as Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Physics
• A Passion for audio, self-motivation, and a desire to work in fast paced environment
• Technical experience in audio products 
• Previous exposure to CAD an advantage
• Hands-on experience in measurements of acoustic components and audio electronics
• Strong problem-solving & debugging skills
• Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written and verbal) 
• Experience in MATLAB, Python, C/C++ or equivalent tools for modeling and analysis an advantage
• Good written and oral English communication skills
