We are looking for great talent to support
our Gigafactory Berlin Powertrain Logistics journey and achieve the best
operation in the most innovative E-Powertrain Production in the world.
Designing and launching the most efficient and innovative process, and
simultaneously optimizing internal tools and systems is a competitive advantage
for Tesla and an essential part of our business to efficiently plan powertrain and
vehicle logistics operations to assure the Powertrain and Vehicle success, all
at light speed.  

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to
lead and manage the engineering team for the design, implementation, and
optimization of the End-to-End Logistics Process. Warehouse, Intralogistics
Material, Equipment Flow, Cros-shops, and innovation will be your playground. 

The successful candidate is a self-starter, has strong
leadership capabilities, and can manage multiple projects and priorities at the
same time. This role requires working closely with Production Leaders and
Associates, as well as Materials, Industrial Engineering, to drive operations
and projects to success. 

Requirements

  • Good leadership skills. Ability to work and lead effectively with a team
    within a manufacturing and engineering organization
  • Proficient in lean Logistics and manufacturing
    methodologies
  • Fluent in English, German and other European language
    is a plus  
  • Strong analytical capability and familiarity with
    analytical and statistical software systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an aptitude for both
    learning systems quickly and teaching them to others
  • Creative capacity for developing new ways to do things
    better, cheaper, and faster in alignment with the aggressive Tesla approach to
    revolutionary product development
  • Data collection and analysis experience, ideally in a
    Test or Quality capacity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and
    confidence in presenting to upper management
  • BS/MS degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical
    Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or equivalent
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a material
    handling, assembly, manufacturing, or maintenance environment. The automotive
    background is preferred
