Responsibilities
Our Design and Construction Project Management teams at Tesla deliver services for new Tesla showrooms, service centers, delivery hubs, bodyshops and distribution centers across the region. You will manage and deliver individual projects either with a focus on design and/ or construction management, and work with the brightest people to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
The Role:
Tesla is looking for a creative architect with experience in industrial design who can think out-side of the box. The Design Manager is to provide two main functions:
- Provide design intent drawings for retro-fit construction projects for new Tesla Service and Sale Centers, Bodyshops and Distribution Centers.
- Coordinate and Manage the deliverables of 3rd party Architects & Engineers to ensure full 100% drawings are received and fully align with Tesla Design Standards. This person will own the design efforts for construction and infrastructure development from concept to delivery to meet our ambitious goals
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Architecture or Construction Engineering or equivalent
experience and evidence of exceptional ability - Applicable work experience in architectural design
- Knowledge and experience working with local building code, European
Accessibility act, zoning, and other applicable laws - Understanding of project scheduling and the ability to communicate and work
closely with consultants to ensure that project milestones are being met on
time and complete. - Proficient in REVIT and BIM 360
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud package, full
understanding of CAD applications and international drawing convention
standards. - Strong understanding of Construction Technical Engineering and its
implementation processes - Experience working with authorities and be able to build strong
relationship with local jurisdictions - Advanced project management skills, demonstrated application of project and
program management fundamentals to complex engineering problems - Subcontractor and third party consulting firm management experience
- Ability to effectively execute many projects and tasks in parallel
- Excellent communication and documentation skills with ability to understand
complex problems and distill the message into a clear plan - Positive, enthusiastic, fast learner, can-do mindset and passionate about
manufacturing infrastructure - Willingness to travel
