This position has its home base at our Polestar HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Let us describe the challenge we offer
Connected Experience Innovation Team, a part of the Polestar Software and Electronics Department, is a team with a mission to disrupt and drive what we mean with the concept software defined vehicle. The team consists of passionate people who continuously look for innovative ways of moving things forward, always striving towards the defined vision. You will work together with your team to define what Polestar means with software defined, describe the roadmap in getting there, and then, when necessary, also develop tangible artifacts (PoC) to create an understanding within the organization and value to the customers.

What you’ll do
You will work true cross functional between teams and geography, where you need to be one of the people identifying the path and show where the end goal is with focus on mechatronics making use of different, sometimes smart, materials. You are here to create experiences that make people truly understand what going digital means. A lot of your time will be spent working closely with the Design department designing and building prototypes for the physical and connected experience together with them.

Who you are
You are an artist with tech as your material. You love to try new approaches and outside the box methods, for example looking cross industries and current research for answers. You have a holistic view, mapping the path between vision, business and customer. You are a fast learner – and teacher/ mentor – and see an opportunity in tough challenges. You are loyal to the vision and your team, and you want to disrupt the old and venture into the new. You take extreme ownership because you are passionate.

• Relevant technical education and / or background
• You have a curious and artistic mindset
• Communicative and collaborative
• Have strong English skills (Swedish is a bonus)
• You enjoy mentoring fresh talent
