As the Accountant, you will provide support to the financial operations of the Company by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates in Zenefits Payroll System. Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.


  • Manage and ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely in Zenefits Payroll System.
  • Serve as contact for payroll questions and requests.
  • Stay current on the payroll processing system and payroll reporting requirements.
  • Work with payroll application technical support to troubleshoot problems.
  • Record US payroll journal entries after each payroll date (15th and last day of month).
  • Adhering to State and Federal regulations when carrying out payroll accounting practices.
  • Collect, review, and reconcile timecards for accuracy.
  • Review payroll reports for discrepancies and finds solution.
  • Updating payroll and accounting files, general ledger, and tax documents.
  • Undertaking payroll related audits.
  • Regularly updating payroll systems and reviewing company payroll system and suggesting improvements.
  • Additional support for payroll and other accounting tasks as assigned.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the Accounting field as a Payroll Accountant or Payroll Coordinator.
  • Complete knowledge of accounting practices and Government regulations
  • Excellent accounting and computer skills
  • Familiarity with Payroll systems like Zenefits, ADP or Trinet.
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Having an eye for detail
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Good communication skills
  • Impressive analytical and problem-solving skills
