We are currently seeking a leader for Powertrain Infrastructure. This position requires an experienced professional with a proven track record of excellence and managerial achievement. The candidate is an accomplished operations director or program/project manager with experience in laboratory development, equipment deployment, strong organizational capabilities and the ability to influence and coordinate with talented engineering teams and stakeholders to grow the Powertrain organization, deliver new infrastructure projects and manage ongoing operations. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for efficient progression within a fast-paced and complex work environment.
Supports growth of the Powertrain Engineering organization by defining and delivering new infrastructure projects
Encompasses infrastructure for all parts of the Powertrain Engineering organization: Batteries, power electronics and drive units.
Examples of infrastructure projects include: powertrain test facilities, specialist powertrain prototype manufacturing facilities (such as battery cells and motor winding), powertrain assembly facilities, research labs and office space.
Develops and grows strategic partnerships with external suppliers and partners
Manages, mentors and builds teams, within the Powertrain infrastructure group and by supporting & guiding managers in other functional areas
Works with facility team to issue permits for deploying equipment, surveying new buildings for future growth of powertrain
10+ years of experience in operations or project management
8+ years of professional experience in the automotive industry
A proven track record of successful operations management or project delivery
Experience in automotive development processes.
Experience building, developing, and managing highly effective operations and/or project management tools and processes.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work in a high-pace highly complex cross-functional environment.
Excellent organization and delegation skills with ability to define and drive the organization’s growth, with a track record of delivering projects on-time.
Ability to inspire confidence to the executive members as well as the engineering project teams.
Experience of electric powertrain prototype manufacturing and testing
BS or MS in an Engineering field or Physics/Math. Master’s degree is highly value
