Lucid is looking for a senior commercial attorney to join our growing legal team. This role is an opportunity to develop killer negotiation and drafting skills across a broad range of deals at an exciting publicly traded company. The successful candidate will support Lucid’s business leaders and stakeholders in the structuring, negotiation, management, and monitoring of commercial legal matters at all levels of the company and across a broad range of departments.

 

You Will:

 

  • Advise the company on hard and soft supply agreements for parts and raw materials, technology, equipment, lease agreements, and other transactional documents.
  • Assist on strategic transactions and due diligence on various projects
  • Advise clients on strategic sourcing and negotiation best practices
  • Resolve issues in existing commercial relationships and support dispute resolution efforts
  • Advise our business teams on laws and regulations relating to commercial law, trade, logistics, and related topics
  • Collaborate with teams and stakeholders across the business, including procurement, sales, finance, tax, logistics, and risk.
  • Partner with business teams to provide advice and creative solutions to complex problems
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and training
  • Work seamlessly and collaboratively within the legal team and as a legal business partner to multiple internal business stakeholders
  • Leverage technology to build, refine and implement materials such as templates and playbooks and processes (such as as vendor risk management and contract life management), in support of an efficient, cutting edge and streamlined legal department.

    You Bring:

     

  • 5 years of relevant job experience. 
  • Keen understanding of contract drafting/negotiation skills and issue-spotting. 
  • Detail-oriented, meticulous, and strong organizational skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills while working collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, shift focus, adapt to changing priorities, maintain patience in high-pressure situations and take initiative where appropriate. 
  • Technologist, proficient in MS 365, as well as project management and/or contract management platforms.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-output, team-oriented, practical environment. 
  • Ability to pivot between goals and projects as company priorities shift. 
  • Substantive commercial, trade, logistics, technology, data privacy, and/or intellectual property experience in-house and/or with a law firm.
  • Proven negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills for various types of commercial contracts including equipment purchase agreements, joint development agreements, non-disclosure agreements, license agreements, services agreements
  • Data Privacy experience is a plus

  • Law degree (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited institution
  • Eligible to practice law in the USA
