The Manufacturing Quality Supervisor position will lead the day-to-day operations at our plant in Casa Grande, AZ.  In this position, you will lead the implementation of Lean Manufacturing on the plant floor, create a strong network to achieve one goal, and ensure acceptance criteria alignment to the voice of the customer (VOC).  This is a unique opportunity to set up and run a world-class plant to build a world-class vehicle.


The Role:


  • Implement Lean Manufacturing process/initiatives to eliminate waste.
  • Constantly coach/guide supervisors & team leads based on their development path plan.
  • Ensure all employees follow industry-standard health and safety guidelines.
  • Create an environment where every employee is valued for their contributions, and they understand how they impact the success of the company.
  • Run Quality Department core business areas (Pre-Delivery Line & Incoming Quality to ensure operation Safety, Quality & Delivery are being met.
  • Take firm business decisions and apply extraordinary actions when required.
  • Set challenging production goals, create a monitoring process to ensure success, and continuously communicate the progress to the team promoting a solid engagement.
  • Develop and implement robust training plans for supervisors, team leads, and team members.
  • Create, implement, and review all manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and workstation layouts; innovation and initiative are the base for continuous improvement.
  • Specify all tooling and equipment for all current and planned quality inspection needs.
  • Forge excellent cross-functional relationships between engineering, supplier quality, and manufacturing
  • Travel up to 25%, occasionally on short notice.

    The Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and +5 years of equivalent experience required in the automotive industry.
  • Exemplary verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to build outstanding teams and interface well with senior management.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement, Kaizen 5S, and Six Sigma process.
  • Capability to implement and drive a quality operating system within the Quality Control department and interact with production areas.
  • Experience methodizing production workstations for ergonomics and efficiency.
  • Ability to create improvement/reaction plans for quality with productive areas to achieve desired results.
  • Problem Solving knowledge/skills are required.  Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing certification preferred.
  • Masters preferred.
