In the Head of Sales Planning role, you will be responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales organization, partnering closely with the sales team to track performance and drive initiatives.
The Role
Responsible for managing short and long-term sales forecasts, along with related analytics. This role will be responsible for identifying and analyzing trends, and the impact of those trends to Lucid’s sales and share performance.
Develop short-term industry forecasts that are utilized for strategic and resource planning.
Act as the organization’s expert on industry, segment, and regional forecasting.
Oversee the development of Lucid’s long-range sales plans.
Work with Finance to track profitability impact of changes to the plan and optimize revenue.
Work with Vehicle Operations and Sales Planning to track current sales performance and identify opportunities/risk to previous mid-term plan.
Partner with the Compliance team to develop plans that align with model year conversion timing and fuel economy/emissions standards.
Utilize industry forecasting partners, competitive insights, and the long-range product plan to forecast Lucid’s long-term sales performance.
Integrate historical sales, along with other data sources, to improve accuracy.
Interpret short-term industry insights and economic outlooks.
Co-lead annual segmentation process, representing sales-reporting impacts.
Other ad-hoc assignments as required by the department.
Make presentations of findings and recommendations to key executives.
Identify business opportunities.
Interface directly with other departments to provide requests and guidelines and obtain appropriate information.
Determine format and content of mid-level analytical and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree a plus
Eight plus years of related work experience and/or advanced training.
Work experience with an automotive OEM in the Sales area preferred.
Deep understanding of forecasting and financial analytics reporting
Experience managing the business using data
Advanced communication skills.
Coordinate and build relationships with a variety of partners/stakeholders.
Identify and solve complex problems, while making decisions under conditions of uncertainty.
Champion process improvements and contribute to establishing new standards.
Efficient leveraging big data from various systems for analysis and reporting (e.g., Tableau, SQL, Salesforce, and JD Power)
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
California/Bay Area: $154,000 – $200,000
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
