As the Head of Remarketing, you will be responsible for creating and executing all aspects of Lucid’s trade-in and remarketing programs. Core responsibilities include overall ownership of remarketing Lucid and off-brand trade-in vehicles as well Lucid’s used vehicle retail strategy. Major components of this strategy include consideration of Lucid residual values, developing successful trade-in processes, and driving used/CPO vehicle retail sales.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of remarketing processes and channels including wholesale pricing, used vehicle retail operations, in-person and online auctions, inventory management, and associated logistics. Experience with eCommerce or in a direct-to-consumer retail model are highly desired. This is a rare opportunity to build a program across traditional remarketing and retail ops within a dynamic, world-changing organization.

The Role
Role includes responsibility for: Vehicle Remarketing, Trade-In, and Used/CPO Vehicle Retail Program
Develop and manage wholesale remarketing partnerships and channels, including preferred wholesale partnerships and online/in-person auction channels
Work collaboratively to achieve department and company KPI goals
Maximize values of off-lease units, including through preferred purchase partnerships, collaborative development of pull-ahead or equity mining campaigns, and advising on forecasted maturity schedule
Own the process of maintaining current inventory, valuation of on the road automobiles, and partnerships with financing captive to maintain anticipated maturity schedule
Develop KPIs to manage inventory, prices, and downside risk
Partner with Service, Delivery, Logistics, Retail Development, Finance, and other internal departments to analyze location operations and processes to facilitate Remarketing operations
Determine competitive landscape/business needs relating to lease residual values, interest rates, retail finance types and industry trends that can be addressed via lease/sales programs
Create and manage seamless, elevated, and successful trade-in processes, including disposition of acquired off-brand units
Design and oversee the process for trade-in documentation and ensure compliance in North America, while also supporting global expansion
This position will oversee a team responsible for obtaining and executing lienholder payoffs on trade-in vehicles, executing trade-in documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance of all incoming customer documents, and providing wholesale partners with appropriate documentation
Create and ensure all resale processes are aligned with strategic remarketing objectives
Ensure pricing is aligned with strategic pricing goals, working closely with Lucid Financial Services on CPO and used financial products and programs
Effectively resolve issues, conflicts, and challenges to ensure customer satisfaction
Develop and drive the retail sales plan related to remarketing
This department will also provide aftersales product follow-up and support of used vehicles as needed
Qualifications
10+ years of experience working in automotive/tech/vehicle remarketing
Self-starter mentality and comfort working in a high energy, fast-paced work environment
Proven success scaling a department from scratch
Ability to partner cross-functionally to deliver major initiatives, all while relentlessly prioritizing based on need
Comfort navigating ambiguity, and an ability to create in an undefined, unestablished environment
Possess both strong and professional communication skills
Ability to maintain a constant feedback loop on developing processes while working creatively to independently problem solve
Experience analyzing reports; creating action plans based on data using tools like Excel, Tableau, and internal reporting to identify trends and drive results
Ability and willingness to travel (up to 50% of the time)
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
California/Bay Area: $154,000 – $200,000
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
