~ The Parts Process and Planning Sr. Manager position is responsible for parts planning, parts dealer order processing, and parts dealer return programs.

~ Responsibilities and programs include, but are not limited to:

~ Management of Parts Operations Supplier(s)

~ Parts Dealer Order Processing

~ Parts Returns, Cores, and Parts Claims

~ Manage the Dealer Parts Retail Inventory Management (RIM) Program

~ Management of Parts Planning and Analysis budget

~ Manage and mentor the Parts Planning & Analysis Manager for Genesis

~ The position plays a key a role in collaborating with business units in supporting the deployment and sustainment of various Parts and Service programs that improve parts operations, support parts sales and After-Sales for Hyundai and Genesis.

Major Responsibilities

~ Management of Parts Operations Supplier(s):

~ Act as a liaison between Parts Suppliers, and business units as it relates to Parts Supply, Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution Centers to share information, provide direction, and resolve issues.

~ Monitor parts supplier performance and provide guidance / recommendations when needed.

~ Provide recommendations on operational improvement which support parts sales, and dealer parts operations, and New Model Launch activities.

~ Assign, review and approve assignments performed by suppliers to include program proposals, key performance metrics or changes in operations and products.

~ Management of Parts Dealer Order Processing and Parts Dealer Return Programs:

~ Manage the health and performance of both the Parts dealer order processing and Parts return programs (e.g., WebDCS, Reman, Laser Cut Keys, Float Radio, Apparel and Merchandise, Dealer Returns, Cores, Parts Claims) with support from suppliers, various HMA business units, and IT.

~ Manage the Dealer Order Retail Inventory Management (RIM) program and effectively evaluate, develop, and implement strategies that improve the effectiveness of the program, dealer, and parts operations.

Major Responsibilities (continued)

~ Identify process and technical integration opportunities with programs and manage the technical development of programs and ensure proper integration and IT development between HMA and vendor entities.

~ Parts Planning:

~ Partner with HMA’s Purchasing and Legal Departments to ensure department and vendor operations remain within contract scope, and maintain supplier agreements, change orders, purchase requests, purchase orders, and invoices.

~ Collaborate with Parts Sales, Parts Pricing, Service Business Development, Genesis, and other business units to develop, implement strategies and methodologies to measure and improve key HMA and dealership metrics. 

~ Work with the Retail Experience Division to lead parts related activities to support efforts to improve the HMA owner experience, IQS, VDS, CSI and repurchase loyalty.

~ Coordinate with the CA team to support Customer Satisfaction and expedite backorder parts as needed.

~ Manage part related activities to support recall, campaigns, and urgent parts supply.

~ Develop Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) and other necessary documentation to support parts operations, parts pricing, and parts sales.
~ Coordinates with Field Ops group on dealer communications.

~ Coordinate the budget for Parts Planning & Analysis group including annual development, and monthly tracking and reconciliation of expenses and recovery.

~ Support cross divisional assignments from executive management as requested.

~ Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.


~ Manage and develop Planning team personnel (permanent and contract employees). 

~ Recommend enhancements to Parts Policy and Procedures.

~ Resolve issues and communicate to management and business partners.

~ This position has common Sr. Manager-level authority defined by HR/Finance company policy.


~ Bachelor’s degree preferred
~ Master’s degree a plus

Related Experience

~ Six to seven years of total work experience of which at least three years of directly related experience is desired.

~ Three to five years of supervisory experience desired.

~ Automotive parts operational, parts supply or parts pricing experience preferred.


~ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

~ Ability to work independently, work under pressure of deadlines, handle multiple priorities and pay close attention to detail.

~ Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.

~ Ability to thrive in a team environment.

~ Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

~ Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
