~ Coordinate all aspects of HMA logistics between Glovis, HMA National/Regions, ports, and HMMA. 

~ Plan for future changes in logistics such as the addition of HMA production at the new EV plant; help plan for new ports, changes to port/regional alignments, etc.  

Major Responsibilities

~ Liaison between Glovis and HMA for all aspects of logistics to include ocean shipments, port/HMMA processing and transportation to dealers, fleet accounts, etc.

~ Plan for HMA production/logistics from Hyundai production sources, new ports, changes in port/regional alignments, etc.

~ Monitor and enforce improvements to Glovis processing and shipping by ports and inland transit.

~ Responsible for $350 million annually in Glovis invoicing to HMA – review all invoices, approve in GEIS system, work with Glovis and HMA Finance on aged invoices, etc.   Ensure GEIS system has proper edits, etc.

Major Responsibilities (continued)

~ Work extensively with other HMA departments on logistics, damaged vehicles, port quality, parts supply, Glovis invoicing, etc issues including regions, the Service, Parts, Finance and Legal Departments.

~ Handle all aspects of vehicle damages with Glovis Claims Department – classifying “critical” damaged vehicles, instruct Glovis on negotiations between carriers and dealers on “gray area” claims, work with HMA          Legal/Engineering on determining total loss vehicles, etc.

~ Produce reports to assist with Glovis performance monitoring and mentoring.

~ Process regional requests for dealer flooring reimbursements due to late deliveries, etc.


~ Position approves or rejects about $350M annually in logistics provider invoices. 

~ Provides oversight and review of all aspects of HMA logistics. 


~ Must be a high school graduate
~ Bachelor’s degree preferred
~ Master’s degree a plus

Related Experience

~ Ten plus years of automotive experience with prior distribution/logistics experience with a major automotive importer preferred.

~ Regional distribution experience a plus.

~ Three to five years of supervisory experience desired.


~ Strong computer and analytic skills coupled with prior dealer contact experience, in-depth knowledge of financial analysis, and ability to work with spreadsheets and other analytical tools.
