Purpose

~The primary purpose of the Manager, Product Director Office is to align HMC and Americas SR product/profit targets by models in each product milestones. 

~ Coordinate and adjust HMMA/HMB, cost optimization and each countries’ product/price teams to achieve regional profit goal.

~ Analyze each models performances and cost optimization impact in each market after launch to maximize profit and improve opportunities within the region.

~ Serve as the Voice of Americas SR product teams and advise PDO leadership on all product performance matters and manufacturing plants to meet product planning and sales targets.

~ Support facilitating Americas SR Product coordination.

Major Responsibilities

~ Lead Americas SR in each HMC product milestones to maximize profit and sales potential by having full understanding of Americas SR direction and HMC development capabilities.

~ Consolidate US, Canada, and Mexico product proposals to have effective communication with HMC and contribute to develop the most competitive product for NA market.

~ Align Americas SR Performance with HMC Target and develop countermeasures to minimize any discrepancies.

~ Optimize targets according to each market’s competitive environment, performance and improve plan.

~ Monitor monthly Sales, Finance, and cost optimization performances on each market.

~ Coordinate HMC’s product and profit related ad hoc requests with Americas SR.

~ Support Top Management’s decision makings and PO for HMMA/HMB model’s cost optimization.

~ Expand PD Office practice to other regional HQs in Hyundai.

~ Bachelor’s degree preferred
~ Must be a high school graduate
~ Master’s degree a plus

Related Experience

~ Minimum ten years of professional experience in automotive manufacturer/distributor with direct product responsibilities (planning, marketing, and/or sales).

~ Minimum seven years of supervisory experience desired.

~ Cross-functional team management experience is required.

Skills/Knowledge

~ Excel, PowerPoint, Word proficiency.

~ Good organizational and Data mining skills.

~ Effective communication skills.

~ Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

~ Ability to simplify complex issues, develop compelling point of view, persuasively make case for change leading to action.

~ Outstanding written & verbal presentation skills required for external and Senior Leadership interactions.

~ Strong automotive technology knowledge.

~ Korean as second language is a plus.
