Purpose

~ The purpose of this role is to provide support and participate in the completion of all Marketing Financial activities. The role is expected to be able to act as the main point of contact for HMA Finance and Accounting regarding matters related to Marketing budgeting, forecasting, and spending (with or without involvement of the Senior Manager). This position will also act as the department lead supporting all financial aspects of the Dealer Advertising Co-Op (Co-Op) program and the Hyundai Dealer Advertising Association (HDAA) programs.

Major Responsibilities

~ Manage and produce monthly Co-Op program calculations based on wholesale; produce and submit forecasting and spending reports.

~ Produce and provide material to be used for the monthly review of Co-Op program spending, forecasting, dealer payments and any other program financials with the Regional Marketing team.

~ Interface with Co-Op program vendor to provide updates and solve problems, when needed.

~ Interface with HMA Finance/Accounting and HMA Regional staff, as needed, to provide Co-Op program payment status or to facilitate problem resolution.

~ Serve as the point person for the payments HDAA Contribution/ Assessment remittance

~ Calculate Regional funding and manage distribution of funds via check request.

~ Interface with HMA Finance/Accounting and HMA Regional staff, as needed, to provide HDAA program funding payment status or to facilitate problem resolution.

~ Manage and produce monthly HDAA program Assessment, forecasting and spending reports.

~ Track and report regional fund balances to ensure that HMA funds are fully deployed and that regions are not projecting to be overspent.

~ As needed, adjust Assessment by vehicle series within SAP tables.

~ Produce and provide material to be used for the monthly review of HDAA program spending, forecasting, dealer payments and any other program financials with the Regional Marketing team.

~ Provide daily direction/supervision, determine daily workload balance, assign and monitor work to one direct report.

Major Responsibilities (continued)

~ Creation, entry and tracking of all Marketing Purchase Requests, POs and Check Requests.

~ Oversee and support the monthly and year-end preparation of accruals, including interfacing with Agency Finance/billing and HMA Finance/Accounting personnel to confirm accuracy and resolve problems.

~ Oversee preparation of, or prepare, the monthly Advertising/Promotions Spending, report including analysis for executive management review.

~ Provide key spending reports at month-end, including comparison of spending versus Budget and YOY.

~ Oversee the preparation and upload of templates for monthly dealer payments and billings.

~ Manage and coordinate all activities related to the preparation and submission of the Marketing Department annual budget.

~ Leverage advanced Excel functions to develop and provide insightful analysis of Marketing spending.

~ Interface with vendors to resolve billing/payment problems.

~ Interface with HMA Regions as needed to resolve billing/payment issues.

~ Attend monthly Advertising production budget meeting and provide feedback/insight as needed.

~ Ensure that all production estimates and ATBs are routed for approval in a timely manner.

~ Interface with Marketing management as needed regarding resolution to budget/spending concerns.

~ As/when needed, act as the primary liaison between the Marketing department and Finance; interact with seniormanagement/executives within Marketing/Financing/Accounting to review marketing related budgets/spending and analysis.

~ Build and maintain strong working relationships with partners, vendors, publishers, team members and internal resources.

Authority

~ Moderate level of authority. Individual has the experience, knowledge and authority and is expected to make an independent judgment in accordance with company policy.

~ Individual is accountable for decisions that involve of hundreds of millions of dollars.

~ Thorough analysis and critical thinking, provide suggestions for process and other job-related improvements. ~ Provide daily supervision, direction, and evaluation to the Marketing Billing Associate.

Education

~ Bachelor’s degree required.
~ Must be a high school graduate

Related Experience

~ 6 or more years of experience of which at least 5 years of directly related experience in automotive marketing financial operations. 

~ 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience desired.

~ 3 to 5 years of supplier management experience preferred.

Skills/Knowledge

~ Understanding of automotive retail environment.

~ Strong understanding of accrual accounting.

~ Deep knowledge of MS Excel advanced functions. 

~ Ability to learn quickly, work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing timelines.

~ Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships at variety of levels; executive, managerial, subordinate and agency hierarchy of personnel.

~ Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner, both verbally and in writing.

~ Ability to work autonomously and make decisions independently.

~ Effective project, personnel and budget management skills.

~ Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint.

$81,200.00 – $116,000.00 Annual
