About the role:
We are seeking passionate Senior Software Engineers, who have strong fundamentals in software development practices and are experts in C++ language in production-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced C++ Developer with a passion for enabling the world’s first safe, reliable & efficient network of autonomous vehicles. You will partner with the research and software engineers to design, develop, test and validate AV features for our autonomous fleet.
This role will be onsite 4 days a week at our Mountain View, CA office!

What you’ll do:
Design and implement all key components of the perception system such as object detection, object tracking, and multi-sensor fusion
Research and implement state of the art algorithms and adapt them into the driving scenarios
Actively contribute to and support the entire SDLC including preliminary design of system architecture, formulating system specifications, programming, testing, and debugging application code
Design, build and maintain large scale production machine learning and deep learning pipelines
Perform research that enables modeling and tracking of pedestrians and other objects
Understand and analyze state of the art approaches and lead algorithm development in the ares of perception and computer vision
Investigate, test and calibrate sensors for integration into sensor fusion algorithms
Improve online localization performance and accuracy for better robustness and redundancy
Analyst and architect safety and redundancy in the localization system
Participate in agile scrum development of project planning, design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, test plans/cases/tools and ongoing support of systems
What we’re looking for:
Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Robotics, Computer Science or related area
2+ years experience directly in Robotics (pre or post Master’s Degree)
Strong experience of modern C++
Strong experience of Python
Proven system integration and software architecture skills
Experience with computer vision and computer vision sensors including Camera, LiDAR GPS, and IMU (preferred)
