The role is responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of practices, policies, processes and procedures for workforce planning, with particular emphasis on the time and attendance function.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Lead the Cruise Workforce Management team to provide real-time ticket and email monitoring to answer issues and question to improve performance and achieve service level objectives

  • Lead team meetings, projects, and trainings on Workforce Management related topics

  • Work with partner teams on reporting, operationalizing, and implementing new requirements

  • Partner with Legal and HR team members on compliance matters

  • Research and provide state requirements for time and attendance and assist with set up of new states in system

  • Create and manage schedules to address demand to achieve stated service level goals

  • Design workforce processes, procedures and methodologies used for developing accurate and timely forecasts for staff and capacity planning

  • Collaborate with Business Partners in the preparation of the forecasting process to ensure business needs are met and translate those needs as appropriate

  • Continuously review existing processes and research possibilities for improvements, enhancements, and/or automation

  • Provide guidance to a cross functional team of leaders and analysts in a complex matrixed environment, in support of operational business units, finance partners, and key collaborators

  • Perform continual analysis of current performance (noting recent historical trends) and conduct real-time re-forecasting to make necessary adjustments in staffing plans and coordinate with Operations teams to achieve service level goals/business objectives for multi-site operation

  • Maintain constant communication with Operations teams to coordinate needed staffing adjustments based on current and forecasted results

  • Generates and evaluates staffing schedules, and ensures data updates into the scheduling system

What you must have:  

  • Previous experience with workforce management/scheduling and knowledge of standard processes

  • Previous experience with a rapidly growing multi jurisdiction workforce, including at least the domestic US and ideally internationally

  • Previous experience leading a team and cross-collaborative projects, preferred 

  • Previous experience with ticketing system, preferred

  • Experience with Google G-Suite, preferred

  • Previous experience with Workday – time tracking module and any advanced scheduling tool (eg Kronos) preferred
