The Commercial Operations Supply Chain Management organization is looking for a Senior Manager – Inventory. This position requires an experienced professional with the ability to handle the day-to-day uncertainty that comes with the growth profile of a start-up company moving towards commercialization. The ideal candidate will have spent considerable time launching new operations and/or new products in an automotive, fleet, or technology product environment! This position requires partnership with Purchasing, Engineering, Fleet, Commercial Operations, Finance, and Regulatory Affairs to implement new processes and handle changes.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Oversee the organization and management of our inventory, including tracking, monitoring, and replenishing stock levels.

  • Work closely with our purchasing and service teams to ensure that we have the right parts on hand to meet customer demand.

  • Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to optimize our inventory levels and minimize excess stock.

  • Monitor inventory levels and alert the appropriate teams when stock is running low or is excessive.

  • Work with the service team to forecast future demand and plan inventory levels accordingly.

  • Ensure that inventory is properly labeled and stored, and that inventory records are accurate and up-to-date.

  • Monitor inventory accuracy and conduct regular audits to ensure the integrity of our inventory data.

  • Manage inventory-related expenses and budgets, and provide regular reports on inventory performance and trends.


What you must have:

  • 10+ years of direct leadership experience in inventory management, distribution, service supply chain operations, finance, or equivalent

  • Must have extensive experience and proficiency with multiple IMS and WMS packages

  • Experience in working with complex data sets and using data to drive business needs 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence cross-functionally between senior leaders and external partners

  • Ability to adapt, operate, and act decisively in an ambiguous environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering or Business is required.

Demonstrated Experience:

  • Understanding of inventory management principles and techniques

  • Program management including critical thinking, strong written and verbal communications, and ability to lead within a matrixed team.

  • Using market intelligence and trends to drive robust benchmarking and cost validation processes.

  • Ability to draft a statement of work, master services agreement, RFQ package and negotiate contract terms and contract management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with success in working across organizations at all levels.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, effective project planning in terms of resources, strategies, cost, and time with ability to meet project timelines.

Bonus points!

  • Experience with system implementation and demonstrated ability to scope tools needed to scale business needs

  • Experience working at start-up or growth stage company

  • Demonstrated interest in AV or transportation space

  • Oracle WMS and IMS experience

The salary range for this position is $155,600 – $228,700. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
