About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Executive Assistant to support our Chief Communications Officer and their senior leadership team. Our ideal candidate will succeed in our innovative, fast-paced, and growing organization, expanding their skills and abilities at pace with the company. You could be a great fit if you are someone who enjoys helping to cultivate connectivity across the department, driving cross-functional efficiency and productivity, and has a love for high-impact, clear communications.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Understand and integrate Communications + Marketing team priorities and objectives
  • Act as gatekeeper, time-advocate, and liaison for executives
  • Arrange travel, schedule transit, and make reservations
  • Lead preparation and formatting of presentation materials and documents, including regular performance and metrics reporting
  • Help plan and coordinate various meetings, functions, and events including quarterly retreats and team-building offsites for leadership team
  • Be a team leader: own team requests inside and outside your organization, problem-solve, and assist with keeping the team on-track and organized
  • Be a culture-contributor: coordinate department initiatives, supervise, highlight, and celebrate essential team cultural/career moments. Expand these skills cross-functionally and be an advocate and mentor outside your team
  • Find balance for your executives and their teams while managing various team systems like agendas for meetings, team calendars, and team Slack channels
  • Develop new processes for growing teams that prepare us for extensive scale, and design systems and processes that create efficiency, impact and time among leaders
  • Show impeccable judgment when it comes to high-visibility or sensitive issues
  • Able to act with urgency and calm even in high-stress situations

What you must have:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 6-8 years of related work experience
  • Very strong communication, interpersonal skills and ability to navigate various professional dynamics
  • Be a true leader who can take a task, run with it and learn new systems and tools quickly
  • Creative problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and experience managing complex projects
  • Ability to balance setting boundaries for leads with being appreciative to the needs of your team
  • Utmost integrity and discretion with the ability to think ahead and be proactive while maintaining high levels of confidentiality

  • Experience working on communications and marketing teams, including working with media, influencers and/or VIPs
  • Love of the novel, innovative and creative when it comes to content, storytelling and writing
  • Have worked in a fast-paced startup and helped scale teams
