The Central Planning team is the Business Operations function that leads capacity planning for core resources needed  to build and operate the Cruise business at the rate that we aspire to deliver. Core areas of focus include fleet planning, infrastructure, people capacity planning, while managing the interface between Commercial Ops and Engineering roadmaps. As we accelerate our commercialization, this team will play a crucial role to ensure we know what resources we’ll need, where they should be allocated, and how we’ll acquire/develop them in the most cost-effective manner. This team’s output will be a key driver for teams across Cruise to ensure we are ready to scale in both new and existing markets.

  • Support Cruise in managing our growing operational staffing needs across geographies as we grow our commercial footprint

  • Make sure we have the right combination of assets and capabilities, while balancing the long-lead times needed for acquiring vehicles and infrastructure with the agility of a fast-moving start-up.

  • Enable Cruise teams to make better decisions faster, and anticipate future challenges in ways that allow for proactive management.

  • Be an influential thought partner to commercial executives and business leaders across the company.

What you must have:

  • Comfort with ambiguity: apply structured, analytical thinking to new, undefined problems

  • Strategic and creative thinking skills that combine technical, financial, and market understanding

  • Ability to take ownership of work and make progress without frequent supervision

  • Strong teammate that collaborates with peers to both get and give help towards better outcomes

  • Excellent business intuition and ‘nose for value’

Nice to have:
